Clippings of articles, texts, and obituaries from journals and other published sources, and typescripts of poems. The programs include those for the Brecht festival in Paris in 1957 and for Berliner Ensemble productions of Galileo Galilei and Mutter Courage. Among the reviews are several of the Berliner Ensemble productions of Galileo Galilei and Mutter Courage in East Berlin and elsewhere, and of Giorgio Strehler's production of L'opera da tre soldi (= Die Dreigroschenoper) in Milan in 1973. The obituaries are from the German (primarily) and American presses. Among them is that of Eric Bentley from the New Republic and a photographic reproduction from a German-language newspaper of Brecht's death mask. Two of the obituaries are for Helene Weigel (d. 1971). Among the items in the miscellaneous category are a telegram dated 6 August 1955 from Brecht and Elisabeth Hauptmann to Lenya [Hauptmann's transcription of same in Ser.30/1/2], three photographic prints of scenes from a production of Galileo Galilei, and a poster for an exhibition at Kenyon College.
